Zeitgenössische deutsche Landschaftsarchitektur / Contemporary German Landscape Architecture
The Bund Deutscher Landschaftsarchitekten (bdla, Federation of German landscape architects) is an alliance of garden and landscape architects that represents their professional interests. Among the goals of the bdla are socially and ecologically based development of residential areas and landscapes as well as the planning of open space on the basis of well-grounded planning and design knowledge. With its Deutscher Landschaftsarchitektur-Preis (German landscape architecture prize), which has been awarded since 1993 and is not restricted to its members, the bdla has paid tribute to outstanding planning achievements that demonstrate both aesthetically ambitious solutions and ecological objectives.
